    Day 1: Auckland

    On arrival in Auckland, ‘The City of Sails’ transfers to your hotel & check-in. Overnight in Auckland.

    Day 2: Auckland – Waitomo – Matamata – Rotorua

    After breakfast, travel south past rolling green hills and lush pastureland to Waitomo Glowworm Caves. Enjoy a guided tour of the weird and wonderful limestone formations and a magical boat ride under thousands of twinkling glowworms. Continue to Matamata and visit Hobbiton Movie Set for a guided tour of ‘Middle Earth’. Later proceed to Rotorua for overnight. (B)

    Day 3: Rotorua:

    After breakfast, visit Te Puia Thermal Reserve to see boiling mud pools and roaring geysers. Following this, visit the Agrodome for a New Zealand farm show before continuing to Rainbow Springs to see New Zealand’s trout, birds and wildlife. The afternoon is at leisure to experience some of Rotorua’s other attractions. In evening enjoy an authentic Maori Hangi (feast) and Concert. Overnight in Rotorua. (B,D)
