Bali suits honeymooners because it offers two moods in one trip: green, quiet Ubud and the beach coast. The trick is splitting your nights so neither feels rushed.
Start in Ubud
Rice terraces, art villages and private-pool villas set among the trees. Two or three nights here is enough to slow down before the beach.
Then the coast
Choose your base by mood: Seminyak and Canggu for cafes and sunsets, Nusa Dua for calm resort beaches, Uluwatu for cliffs. Three nights lets you add a day trip to Nusa Penida.
A sensible five to seven nights
- 2-3 nights in Ubud with a private pool villa.
- 3-4 nights on the coast, with one day set aside for a boat trip.
- One unplanned evening: some of the best moments are the ones nobody scheduled.
Questions to settle before you book
- Do you want breakfast included, and do you want a private transfer between the two bases?
- Is a surprise (a candle-lit dinner, a flower bath) worth adding for the first night?
- Are your passports valid for long enough, and do you need a visa on arrival? Check the current rules close to travel.
