Day 1Arrival and transfer

Arrive in Rome and transfer to your hotel. Check in, settle in and enjoy a relaxed first evening.

Day 2Rome city tour

See the Colosseum, the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill, then the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps for an evening stroll.

Day 3Vatican

Visit the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel and St Peter's Basilica, then enjoy the rest of the afternoon in Rome's old centre.

Day 4Rome to Sorrento

Travel south to Sorrento via Pompeii, visiting the ruins.

Day 5Amalfi Coast

Drive the Amalfi Coast, with stops at Positano and Amalfi.

Day 6To Florence

Travel by train to Florence and see the Duomo.

Day 7Florence to Venice

Take the fast train to Venice, and enjoy an evening walk through St Mark's Square and along the canals.

Take a gondola ride and visit St Mark's Square.
