Day 1Arrival and transfer

Arrive in Istanbul and transfer to your hotel. Check in, settle in and enjoy a relaxed first evening.

Day 2Istanbul old city

See Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the Hippodrome, then explore Topkapi Palace and the Grand Bazaar.

Day 3Fly to Izmir and Ephesus

Fly to Izmir and visit the Roman city of Ephesus.

Day 4Pamukkale

Travel to Pamukkale and walk the white travertine terraces.

Day 5To Cappadocia

Travel to Cappadocia by flight or by road, and take an early evening walk to a viewpoint over the valleys.

Day 6Cappadocia

See Göreme and the rock churches, with an optional balloon flight.

Day 7Cappadocia valleys

Explore the valleys and rock-cut churches, with a visit to an underground city and a pottery workshop in Avanos.

Day 8Back to Istanbul

Fly back to Istanbul for shopping at the Grand Bazaar and Spice Bazaar, and a farewell dinner by the Bosphorus.

Day 9Departure

After breakfast, check out and transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
