Day 1Arrival and transfer

Arrive at Bagdogra (or New Jalpaiguri) and drive to Darjeeling (about three hours). Check in and rest.

Day 2Tiger Hill and Darjeeling

Drive to Tiger Hill for sunrise, then visit Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop and the zoo.

Day 3Darjeeling tea and toy train

Visit a tea estate and ride the toy train (seasonal); shop on the Mall.

Day 4Darjeeling to Gangtok

Drive to Gangtok (about five hours) through river valleys.

Day 5Tsomgo Lake

Drive to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir (permits arranged).

Day 6Gangtok sights

Visit Rumtek Monastery, Enchey Monastery and MG Marg.

Day 7Departure

After breakfast, drive to Bagdogra (about five hours) for your onward journey.
